| AVOIDING
SOY
The US
National Institute of Environmental Health has shown that the soy
estrogen can be over 30% more carcinogenic than D E S, the banned
cancer-causing growth promoter.
Published in Cancer Research, June 2001.
The scientific consultants to Soy Information Service
were warning health and food regulatory agencies of this risk in
1994.
British researchers had shown that the estrogenic
effect of soy isoflavones was equivalent to 16-24 ppb of Diethylstilbestrol
.which
is banned as a residue of growth promoters in meat for human consumption
at 0.5 ppb.
The scientific consultants to Soy Information Service
regulators emphasised this risk in 1994 to food-safety regulators.

For adults
A GLASS A DAY MELTS THE THYROID AWAY

AVOIDING SOY
.as little as 30 mg of soy isoflavonesthe
amount in 5-8 ounces of soy milk have been proven to suppress
thyroid function!
The isoflavones in soy act like a hormone
in the body. And in
many women, especially those who eat large amounts of concentrated
soy powder or take isoflavone supplements, this disturbs the bodys
hormonal balance, triggering or worsening thyroid problems,
explains Dr Larian Gillespie, author of The Goddess Diet.
Some experts are even calling for the makers of soy products
to remove these anti-thyroid isoflavones from their products.
(2)
For infants
The amount of soy protein in a babys
daily intake of soy baby formulas means an infant gets the dose-equivalent
of an adult woman taking up to ten pills a day.
Or, a baby in its first year gets a total anti-fertility
dose of Pill-equivalents.
